This foundational course in Basic Mathematics (Part 1: Number & Algebra) establishes the essential numerical bedrock and algebraic language required for advanced study and real-world problem-solving. The journey begins with Number Systems & Arithmetic Foundations, where students master the hierarchy of real numbers, fractions, decimals, and the universal rules of PEMDAS/BODMAS. By solidifying these arithmetic fundamentals, learners gain the confidence to manipulate numbers accurately before transitioning into abstract mathematical concepts.
The core of the curriculum introduces Algebraic Expressions & Polynomials, shifting the focus from specific numbers to generalized variables. Students learn the foundational laws of exponents, radicals, and the mechanics of expanding and factoring algebraic expressions, such as recognizing the difference of squares.
